To mark International Museum Day, the Irish Reasearch Council (#LoveIrishResearch) asked two researchers to talk about the importance of museums as sites for educating the public on our shared heritage, contemporary culture, and our future.

One of the researchers, Sally McHugh ( @thefordofthekings ) Postgraduate Scholar in the School of Education at NUI Galway, wrote about working on her project, “Innovation in Heritage Education: Towards a Synthesis of Formal and Informal Learning.”

Sally's project is supervised by Dr Tony Hall, Lecturer in Educational Techology, School of Education, NUI Galway.
