Research in the School of Mathematics

The School pursues its research objectives through a diverse range of activities. It has a strong collective record of publishing in highly regarded journals, offers graduate research training programmes, encourages research by individuals and in groups, organises and hosts prestigious conferences, runs a weekly research seminar, recruits postgraduate research students and postdoctoral researchers, and provides consultation. In addition, School members have successfully secured large amounts of research funding from Irish, EU, and other international sources. The School strives to create and strengthen links with research centres throughout the world.

Mathematics Research Clusters

Research is carried out over a number of complementary areas with significant overlap. Three domains of excellence serve as the basis of designated Research Clusters:
