Outreach activities
Centre for Astronomy Public lecture on Pulsars
Actively involved in the Centre for Astronomy's Open nights for the last 5 years to include:
Presentation on mankind's understanding of the Universe
3D tour of the Universe using the centre's state-of-the-art 3D vizualisation suite
Tour and demonstration of the University's Imbusch Observatory
Host frequent primary and secondary school visits to the Centre to inlcude the presentation, 3D tour and tour & demonstartion of the observatory mentioned above; all presented at a level designed to teach, enthuse and inspire the students into learning more about the Universe in which we live. |
